Patrick Lopez was born in the great state of Texas and raised in Conroe. Growing up in Texas he discovered life thru his strong family, religion, and influential network of friends. Childhood activities included BMX, baseball, soccer, swim team, band, football, the beach, Montgomery County Carnival Committee, Golden Glove boxer and working hard for various people and businesses. As a boxer, he boxed with the Lanes at Mr. Harris’s gym, leading him to the filming of a TV commercial with newly crowned Heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield. Evander taught Pat to use the double end bag at the Summit in Houston.
As a young man, Pat was the chairperson for many successful volunteer firefighter cook off fundraisers and was the Conroe High School Industrial Technology Club president. About the time Pat graduated Conroe High School, he volunteered with a local Hot Rod club and the Grangerland Volunteer Fire Department. As a firefighter, the Montgomery County EMS introduced him to the EMT program, that eventually lead him to a demanding and prosperous field in the military. He has family and friends to thank for supporting him thru life. This list includes some that are special guests for the flag raising and others around the world.
As an adult, teaching and mentoring youth is a passion for Patrick. As a volunteer, he motivates and guides troubled youth around the world. Pat is strongly committed to be the best Real Role Model for Youth he can. This includes the direct interaction with youth by identifying their goals, clear direction for action, and guiding them on ways to be an upstanding citizen.
While training with many advanced medical organizations and FDNY, some of his medical duties included prescribing medications, the delivery of babies, setting fractured bones, suturing wounds along with many other invasive procedures. Mr. Lopez can perform his military medical duties independently of a doctor and trains emergency surgical medicine across the globe. He has special skills in the water, holds numerous qualifications for air operations, and excels with most any task on land. His worldwide travel has resulted in many citations and awards, including those with valor.
Patrick continues to volunteer for numerous extremely challenging and sensitive activities, all the while planning on returning to the blessed breathtaking Texas way of life. At that time he will pursue the challenge of giving back to Texas and America’s future. To Patrick, Texas represents a proud community of family, friends, God and country. He is proud and humbled to be among the other honored guests as a flag raiser for this historic and special event.
