Native Houstonian and Conroe resident Campobella has won over 60 awards in the past 5 years for his distinctive bronze sculpture. This includes an unprecedented 3 BEST OF SHOWS; more than any sculptor in the 50 year history of The Lone Star Art Guild.
His collections sit in private homes, boardrooms, churches and lobbies across the United States and as far away as Norway and Australia.
He has been commissioned for the past 6 seasons to produce low edition commemorative bronzes for the highly acclaimed Sounds of Texas Music Series held in downtown Conroe at the historic Crighton Theater. The bronzes depict the roots of Texas music and each bronze shows the high level of historical research and care Mr. Campobella has become known for in the fine arts community.
Recently he has finished a landmark work for the highly anticipated LONE STAR MONUMENT and HISTORICAL FLAG PARK that will showcase Montgomery County as the Birthplace of the Lone Star Flag and the history of the Texas revolution in bronze with historical battle and rally flags that flew during Texas’ struggle for independence. The 14 ft bronze centerpiece entitled “THE TEXIAN”, conceived and sculpted by Mr. Campobella, will serve as the centerpiece for the outdoor museum.
Mr. Campobella is involved in many community organizations and projects that focus on enriching the culture and history of the area, the state and the country.
